Hi my lovely readers,

As you can see, at first I started with weekly posts this year, then posting two weeks worth in one. As time flies so fast, I decided that it will be better for me to write monthly.

Well…, although my motto is to always think positive and to talk about positive things. However, this is an exception and nothing to do with being negative. I just want to acknowledge how horrible it would be for those people affected by the horrific natural disasters this year.

I thought that the Queensland’s floods and the cyclone were bad enough, followed by the Christ Church earth quake made it worse and out of no where Japan was suddenly wiped by one of the biggest magnitute of all earth quakes ever and the tsunami. Unbelievable…!

I am kind of numb and do not know what to think anymore. I am feeling really sad for those people affected and all I can do is donate and pray for those people who are still alive to remain safe and strong. If you are reading this, let’s take a minute silent for those poor innocent people who were killed in the disasters.

It will take a long…long… time for those people to recover. Let’s not to forget to help one way or another.

On the more cheerful note, right now I am looking at the gorgeous sunset through my office’s window as I am writing this. I can also see the calm blue sea water that is quite calming to watch, unlike the humongous amount of water coming in land in a rush like what just happened in Japan. So when we are around the beautiful and calm nature, let’s enjoy, nurture and respect our surrounding and nature the best that we can. We need to treat our earth with high respect and love.

If you live in a developed country like Australia like where I am now, we are very lucky especially right now. Billions of people in the third world countries work extremelly hard for very little results. Right now, as I am writing this, my husband is watching a television program about young English people having to work in a cotton plant in Mumbai India and it is extremely interesting to watch.

The program is showing you how hard the Indian workers work on that cotton plant with very little pay while the young English people are not coping with the situation at all. I would not be able to cope with that kind of living standard either and I really feel for the poor people in the world and they are billions of them, yet there are actually some people in power who caused wars and disasters as if there not not enough natural disasters and unfortunate situations already.

I just turned my head toward the television as my husband pointed to the most horrible scene on this TV program about the dirtiest and the worst working condition of clothing factories in Mumbai India. It was absolutely horrible to see how these people live, yet, apparently those clothes end up in our shops with big brands with big price tags. I just can’t believe the existence of that. I hate it and I won’t be buying certain clotes as of now.

This is trouble with our world today. Too many greedy people who do not care enough about the poor. Anyway, I am sure we are not like that and please make sure you contribute towards the poor one way or another.

Week 7 and 8 of 2011

Hello again,

Well…. time flies… doesn’t it? I have been so… busy and missed writing week 7 in the actual week, so I have wrapped it with week 8.

No matter where we work and where we live, I think many of us have been involved in providing some kind of assistance toward people who have been affected by the natural disasters just happened in the past 4 weeks. After being in draught for several years, we suddenly had heavy rains for days that caused flooding in the Northern states of Australia followed by Cyclone Yasi and then this week Christchurch New Zealand was hit by a 6.3 earthquake.

It is a very sad time for us and I believe that many of us have put a lot of effort to help family, friends and strangers affected by these disasters. Let’s keep doing the right thing and pray for them.

While using our energy toward positive and kind acts for others, let’s also maintain our own health and well being. Self care is always very important in order to be able to help others.

Since Valentine’s day the 14th of February 2011 I have been gradually changing my activity, eating and sleeping habits to improve my health and well being. For example, going to bed at least half an hour earlier, eating more at lunch time and less at night, doing at least 10 minutes physical exercise each day, replace 1 meal per day with Nutriway protein shake and take vitamins daily. To date, I have reduced my measurements and my weight but increased my alertness, energy level happiness. I feel great…..! You may want to try this method and see how it works for you.

If you are already well, happy, healthy, wealthy and content, that is great and I hope you can maintain your current situation. To ensure that you stay motivated, I recommend that you  read and listen to a lot of interpersonal development literature.

I am currently developing some materials for a workshop for women. Keep your eye open for the invitation and hope to see you there.

Week 6 of 2011

Hey…

How are you doing…? Had a good week?

I finished work early today and spent the afternoon & evening in town with my loving hubby.

We had our usual delicious lunch in China Town, walked to the mall and Rundle St after to have coffee, banana bread and gellati. It has become our Friday afternoon’s ritual now and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves spending our quality time that way.

We didn’t plan to shop but we managed to buy ourselves a few new clothes.

The weather was a little different today. It rained quite hard this morning and was rather humid but cooled down toward the end of the day when the sun started to go down. We usually get some cool breeze as well at that time of the early evening.

Town was quite busy today, there were people everywhere. I think that the main reason for that was because of the Fringe Festival as well. This happens every second year in Adelaide with many artists and comedians coming from all over the nation and from other countries as well.

I love the atmosphere of the multicultural surrounding. Full of life and happiness. That’s what it’s all about. I just love happy, positive and motivational or inspirational environment. I am not the type to embrace negativity. I avoid negativity whenever I can. It does a lot of good for me. It keeps me young and energetic. I simply refuse to be negative. It’s just a choice or decision I make and has certainly kept me healthy and happy that way.

Try to maintain your positive and inspirational attitude whenever you can. To do this easier, read interpersonal develoopment books 15 minutes per day, listen to motivational audio or video 15 minutes per day and position yourself amoung positive, motivated and inspirational people.

You will be surprise how successful you will be with whatever you choose to do. That’s just how it is. Positive attitude gives you success.

Week 5 of 2011

Hi again,

Well… well…well… 2011 is certainly flying… so… fast…!

January is already gone and it’s already the 10th of February, which is actually week 6 of this year. So… I owe you one. I will have to write week 6 within the next couple of days. I promise I will.

If you are or you feel fortunate at the moment, away from the natural disaster zones, it is time to be thankful and grateful.

Without being negative or focusing too much on the unfortunate situations, let’s just pray for the unfortunate people who have been affected by the disasters. Let’s be generous and help with what we can.

It is quite ironic, we have people who have been highly affected by the disasters that are completely out of our control, yet I still notice many people who are in much better positions complain a lot about life, work, circumstance, health and so on.

Isn’t that sad…?

Week 4 of 2011

Hi again,

How has your week been? I hope it’s getting better by the day.

In the last 3 weeks or so, many people in the top region of Australia have been very busy recovering from the flood disaster and they are still busy cleaning up now while the rest of the country busy helping with whatever we can do.

The government is very busy processing the emergency payments to make sure that the people affected can recover faster although those who have lost love ones may never recover other than material recovery.

For that reason let’s pray for them sending our wishes for their resilience, strengths and faith.

Let’s help as much as we can and give generously.

While that’s happening, please do not forget to maintain your own health and well being to ensure that we can stay strong so we can continue helping those in need of help.

Life is short and anything can happen to any of us, so let’s make the most of e eery minute we have. Look after yourself and be kind to others.

The weather is really nice in Adelaide, lovely mild summer. Going for a walk in the fresh air by the beach or the trees is always nice. Eat sensibly and exercise regularly.

Having healthy life style is the best and easiest thing we can do to maintain our resilience and strength.

While I would have loved posting more articles today, I thought I had better get my walk on the sun first to get my vitamin D and my exercise.

Week 3 of 2011

Hi All,

I hope the first 3 weeks of 2011 has been great for you and I hope you remember to pray for those who have been affected by the natural disasters around the globe.

The Government, charity organisations, community supporters and individuals have been busy giving, helping and paying tribute to those people who were unfortunately affected by something that was no way to be controled.

A humungous amount of water, fire, mud or anything for that matter is extremely dangerous particulary when/if it come in  an extremely unorderly and uncontrolable manner.

Althought disasters are often out of our control, while we follow all the rules to be much better prepared to minimise the effect of disasters, let’s learn to also be in control of our own attitude and behaviour on an ongoing basis to become a stronger person.  This way we will also become better in dealing with difficult situations like natural disasters.

Week 2 of 2011

Hello Everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are well at this point.

First of all, let’s have a moment to reflect again and pray for our family and friends in Queensland, North of Australia who are facing a massive natural disaster of floods.

It is extremely sad news and may those who are safe remain safe and healthy.

If nothing else, let’s give and help generously or as much as we can.

It is such a devastating news and impossible to comprehend.

The force and power of this humungous flow of water is sweeping through some 75% of this second largest state of this continent of Australia. It is the most heroic scene I have ever seen and I am not even seeing it with my bare eyes, only on television, it is frightening for me to see and I am so… frightened for people who are there. It is traumatising and daunting to hear and see.

May GOD bless those people for their safety and may they stay strong.

Week 1 of 2011

Hi My Favourite Readers,

Happy New Year…! May 2011 is the best year yet for you all.

How are you doing with your New Year’s Resolution so far? Did you even have one?

What did you plan to improve this year?

  • Bigger goals?
  • Better financial management?
  • Better eating habits?
  • More exercise?
  • Higher motivation?
  • More generousity?
  • More organised?
  • More confidence and self esteem?
  • More tolerance?

Whatever it is you plan to improve, other than making your plan, ensure that that you have a well structured processes and most of all you must take action on your plan.

Once you commence taking action, if it does not work successfully the first time, never ever give up, you must be persistence and repeatedly refocus or recompose yourself to do it again and again until you achieve your goals.

Make sure that you set smaller goals and achieve one small goals at a time. How do you eat an elephant? “One bite at a time”. That right, one step at a time and enjoy your journey to get to your destiny. Be patient and be persistent. There is no other way.

If you already set you goals and prepared your plans for this year, you may want to review it now and check if you have started with your action plans. If you haven’t and you are in a position to take your first step right this minute, do it now.

Proscrastination is the worst blocker of any success, so don’t allow your mind to play with this dangerour word of proscrastination. Encourage and force yourself to do what you need to do. Swith that “YES” button on your right side of your brain.

If you haven’t already prepared your plans or set your goals, why don’t you start doing that now. A plan is extremely important to start your journey to success. Without a clear plan, you don’t have a target and we may go all over the place without choosing the path to take you to where you want to go and where you want to end up being.

The first week of 2011 is not over yet and even if it was by the time you get to read this, you are never too late to start.
