Setting Goals

  • Setting Goals is one of the most important part of the initial process to achieve what you want.
  • If you don’t set the specific goal to achieve, you won’t know your actual destination, the path to take, the skills and knowledge to obtain and the actual thing you really want to achieve.
  • Many people say that they want to be rich but without setting specific goals to achieve, they often lose focus and don’t really achieve much in the end.
  • Although having vision and dream is also a very important part of the process, our vision is usually too big and too much of such intangible thing. So you need to break them up into much smaller and more specific and realistic goals with certain time frames put in place for each goal to achieve.
  • You then need to focus on each goal working from start to finish including the planning stage and the skilling stage through out the whole process until to actually achieve each goal that you set in the beginning and then start with the next goal.
  • Every achievement goes through some kind of process. You need to be patient and diligent in each process, realizing and accepting the potential set-backs in between sometimes, and learn to build character and resilience to be able to get through each hurdles through out your journey.
  • That’s just how everything works in life. So, rather than giving up too soon or thinking that  it’s too hard to do, just set small goal at a time, be prepared to go through the process required and just relax and enjoy the journey. Be patient.
  • It’s a natural thing that we always want more in life and it’s nothing wrong to want more, it’s human nature. However, many people are not prepared to go through the process or the journey to get what they want. They are not prepared to set their goals, to plan or to focus on following the specific path to get there. Some people end up getting frustrated, giving up and resign from dreaming while others end up going through the wrong path by trying to get what they want the wrong way, taking advantage of others, doing things on other people’s expense or conducting unlawful activities. Either way, that’s not good is it? So, make sure that you hang on to your integrity and principles.
  • So.. if you want to join the pack of successful people, successful in all areas, not just becoming rich of material wealth only, then be patient, set your goals and be willing to go through the process to achieve your dream goals.
  • Michael Jackson has passed away now but his legacy will live forever. He was a role model to millions of people when it comes to striving to achieve his dreams. He must have set his his standards and his goals so…high and get results like he did.

Good Luck.

Which type of person are you?

  • There are people who make things happen, there are people who just watch and judge things happening and they are people who don’t even notice anything happening, they are just plodding doing the same things day in day out and later wondering why they are bored and have not achieved much in their life.
  • We want to belong to category number one who make things happen and cherish life at full potential. After all we only get one shot at this thing called “life”. Let go of the negativity and move on.

  • Another terms I heard from my Personal Trainer, she said that they are Climbers, Campers and Pullers.
  • I think you can guess what they mean and it is so.. true about those types of people.
  • I think I am a climber, a diligent one, because they are climbers out there who do it on the expense of other people, which is not good. I don’t mind campers as long as they don’t pull you down. The pullers are the ones we have to keep away from. They are not healthy to be around with, as they tend to be very negative and like to drag you down with them. Like the saying tells us that “misery loves company”. So don’t stay in their company.
  • Be a dilligent climber and keep moving forward and up but most of all enjoy the journey.

Do you know yourself well?

  • First of all, let’s ask ourselves how much awareness we have about our own actions and behavior?
  • Most of us naturally enjoy looking out toward others. We unconsciously judge other people’s behaviors and actions without realizing what we are doing ourselves.
  • The more mature we become as common human beings, the deeper realization we have about ourselves. We become more aware of what we want and how we prefer to feel.
  • There are more and more people making new and different decisions about their relationships, their professions and their life styles later in life.
  • As we get older, I think we gradually get to know more about ourselves and our potential through life experiences, mistakes that we make along the way and other aspects influencing our decisions. Most importantly though, we need to learn from our mistakes and experiences.
  • The difference between those who succeed and those who fail is not a lot. Successful people make conscious awareness of every step and every stage of their lives and they keep making improvement towards better and bigger things.
  • They do self talk and continue making conscious modifications to their own behavior and actions.
  • These people become extremely confident about what they are capable of doing and what they want to achieve. They become unstoppable and successful.
  • When I said “mature”, I don’t mean that they are older in age. Some people become very mature and capable early in their lives knowing exactly which direction they are heading while others might just flounder treating life as a play ground without thinking of the consequences.
  • Of course it is important to enjoy life with harmonious balance, so you can be happy long term but not indulging on everything all the time or at the wrong time where you become stuck or out of control. Another word, do enjoy life with calculated actions.
  • So …, find and hang around with mature and optimistic people, their attitudes will rub on to you and you can grow as a person.

Enjoy life and stay positive.
